BREAKING NEWS: Forget the fact that they won against BARCELONA, but truth be told, I wasn’t impressed with THIS particular Chelsea player performance. HE has to regain HIS confidence or be dropped to the bench soon,” Eden Hazard blasted one Chelsea player for his poor performance against Atalanta.

HE WAS THE ONLY POOR PLAYER IN THE TEAM LAST NIGHT.

Chelsea took on Atalanta away from home on their championship games sixth of the 2025/2026 season, but it seems the momentum isn’t sustainable even after beating LaLiga champions Barcelona. Results of the last five games aren’t encouraging for Enzo Maresca’s side despite spending a lot and building for two years since taking over from Pochettino and securing two league titles.

According to reports from sources, Chelsea’s pundits are seemingly worried about the momentum of the team despite having a perfect game against Barcelona in the Champions League game five. Enzo Maresca has repeatedly taken to the media on the team’s performance and made claims that experience isn’t needed to win games, talking about Tosin’s flaws which cost them against Leeds United.

According to reports from transfer news outlets, Chelsea might look into the market to bolster their defensive demands during the January transfer window. The report claims that Chelsea might also improve their attacking options with more young players. Enzo Maresca expressed his concerns over Chelsea’s current form of a four-game winless streak in all competitions following Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to Atalanta.

Chelsea’s performance in the 3-0 win over Barcelona in November looked so promising that very few, if any, would have predicted that they would be without a win in their next four games. A draw with Arsenal, a defeat to Leeds United, another draw with Bournemouth, and now a defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League; Chelsea have collected just two points from the possible 12. Maresca argued that the congested fixtures affected his team, but could not hide his concern over Chelsea’s form.

Chelsea will have their chance to bounce back with a win on Saturday when they host Everton for a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge. They currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, and anything less than a win would put them in a difficult position in the race for Champions League spots. While Maresca is understandably not happy about the schedule, there is no time to dwell on it, as Chelsea have five more fixtures in December, including the League Cup quarter-final tie against Cardiff City next week.
