BREAKING NEWS: West Ham are close to securing Raheem Sterling’s signature as Lopetegui makes a shocking transfer switch.

West Ham are reportedly linked with Chelsea’s forward Raheem Sterling, as Lopetegui hopes to reinforce his squad with the addition of the England star.

Raheem Sterling had been enjoying a blissful campaign under his former boss Pep Guadiola before making his way to West London, and he has endured an underwhelming season so far. Recently, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca tipped the Englishman that he would be competing for minutes at the club, sparking speculation that he’s on his toes to exit Stamford Bridge this summer.

Meanwhile, the Hammers have been working on getting a deal done, and it seems the recent reaction of the players has already signified that he’s ready to move. Currently, Raheem Sterling is training with the U21 side, and it seems he’s waiting for potential suitors.

Chelsea values the 29-year-old for a £47.6 million release clause, which is reportedly huge and could keep most suitors in distant places. Coupled with his huge net wage, Raheem Sterling has been known to have doubts about joining the London Stadium, though he could have been a perfect addition to the manager’s squad depth.

Now it seems Westham would be looking in another direction since Raheem Sterling would have to make a significant reduction in his wages before making his way to the London stadium, and there’s also a doubt that he could agree to such a deal.

According to reports, Juventus is strongly linked with the player’s signature, but the £300k per week could be what is holding the Italian giants back from making any offers.

As the transfer window draws to a halt, the Hammers are hoping to add more depth this summer, and it remains to be seen if the manager will opt for such an option to maintain a perfect squad this season.
