West Ham News reports on a new number nine as transfers get animated amid Chelsea’s bid being rejected.

West Ham are currently working on recruiting a new number nine this season, and it seems the manager, Julen Lopetegui, will make more changes despite completing his dream signing two days ago.

One striker who has caught the eye of the Hammers is Atletico Madrid gem Samu Omorodion, with reports suggesting West Ham have already seen a proposal knocked back for his services [Fabrizio Romano, 15 June].

A move for the Spanish striker will be somehow huge, and Westham will have to gather enough momentum for the transfer, as it’s reported that Chelsea are also linked with the deal.

Chelsea initially made a £42 million bid for Samu Omorodion earlier this summer, but it was rejected.

The Blues are now reluctant as they remain uncertain whether to make further bids or finalize that they’re not interested in making further bids.

It remains that the deal centers on how sporting directors Steidten and his fellow recruitment team will keep taps with the striker before the beginning of the season.

However, David Moyes left behind last term, and Lopetegui will be anticipating new plans to sign more options within the market to boast depth next season.

Samu Omorodion is an outstanding player and will add more depth to the Hammers squad if the manager materializes the deal.
